Short And Sweet. Double Trouble Crispy Chocolate Chunk Cookies.

Double Trouble Crispy Chocolate Chunk Cookies

This little fellow is in a bit of trouble. (Honestly, the things that people put up on the internet.)

I know that I just posted a recipe using cookie mix not long ago (Easy Turtle Cups), but I liked the mix enough to try this recipe. It’s from one of those cooking booklets that are on display at the checkout line of the supermarket. I am a sucker for those.

I’m not sure why there is Trouble in the recipe title, because these Crispy Chocolate Chunk Cookies are anything but. Just stir some Cocoa Krispies into the cookie mix along with butter and an egg. That’s it. Crispy, Chocolatety, easy.

1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker double chocolate chunk cookie mix
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1 cup cocoa-flavored rice cereal

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. In large bowl, stir cookie mix, softened butter and egg until soft dough forms. Gently stir in cereal.

3. Onto ungreased cookie sheet or a sheet lined with parchment, drop cookie batter by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart.

4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are set. Cool 1 to 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack.

Makes about 2 dozen cookies

This brilliant short song is now happily a part of my life thanks to the tip from my friend, FiL.

“Satan sucks, but you’re the best
Holy smokes you passed the test
When I’m with you I feel blessed”

Today’s sweet song is also a recommendation.

Sweet Things Are Made Of This has SOOOO many covers on Soundcloud and Bandcamp. It shows the enduring popularity of this hit by The Eurythmics.

I quite liked this sweet (and short) version.
