Secret Ingredient Margaritas

Margaritas will get you off to a good start at fulfilling your quota.

Last summer when I was visiting a really good friend in Portland, OR, she whipped up a pitcher of Margaritas.

These Margaritas.

They were amazing and I was surprised when I learned how easy they were to make. And I was also surprised that one of the ingredients was beer.

I made a few batches of the margaritas last weekend to serve at my husband’s birthday party. Everyone who tried them wanted the recipe. Go stir up some yourself.

Secret Ingredient Margaritas

Ingredients:

12 oz frozen limeade
12 oz Tequila
12 oz Triple Sec
12 oz bottle of beer

Directions:

1. Mix all of the ingredients together in a pitcher and add ice.

Note: Use the empty limeade container to measure the tequila and triple sec. Easy!

A Portland band would be just perfect to listen to while sipping some margaritas.

Youth, one of Willamette Week’s Best New Bands Of 2012, has already broken up.

Too bad.

I really like this breezy, familiar kind of guitar pop.

Check out Youth on Facebook. You can get the music on their Bandcamp page.

Cheers!
