Every time I make a drink with St-Germaine liqueur I think of my good friends Don and Carolyn, who brought me a bottle and got me hooked on making cocktails with it. And when I think of them I smile, so always a good thing.
This ‘Les Fizz’ drink was created by Tim Federle, author of ‘Tequila Mockingbird‘, which combines classic novels with drink recipes. The Les Fizz is to celebrate the film, ‘Les Misérables’. It’s festive and the combination of the floral liqueur and herbal gin is fantastic. Serve with a stolen loaf of bread. :)
Ingredients:
1/2 ounce gin
1/2 ounce elderflower liqueur (such as St-Germain)
Champagne
Fresh strawberries
Directions:
1. Pour the gin and liqueur into a flute, then fill to the top with champagne. Garnish with a strawberry.

Congratulations to RM Hubbert for winning this year’s Scottish Album Of The Year Award. He was among some pretty hot company in the short list, but it was his album ‘Thirteen Lost & Found’ that took top honors.
‘Thirteen Lost & Found’ is an eclectic mix of instrumental and collaborative vocal pieces. Sometimes a little strange, but mostly brilliant.
‘For Joe’ is the perfect showcase for Hubbert’s incredible talent on the guitar. I feel this song deep inside with every listen. Just lovely.
Check out RM Hubbert on his Website, where you can learn upcoming UK tour dates and link to buy the music.
Cheers!
