I’ve got this huge stack of recently made recipes in my “Must Share Soon” pile.
You WANT those recipes!
Let’s start with this over the top cookie recipe. They are like edible sport balls of goodness.
You’ve got to love this sport ball. Too funny.
Oreo-Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 Tablespoon pure vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
10 oz chocolate chips
16 Oreo Cookies
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. With an electric mixer, cream butter and sugars until well combined. Add in eggs and vanilla.
2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt and baking soda. Add flour mixture to butter mixture in 3 additions until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
3. Using a cookie scoop, take one scoop of cookie dough and place it on top of an Oreo in your palm. Take another scoop of dough and place it on the bottom of the Oreo. Seal the edges together by pressing and cupping in your hand until the Oreo is enclosed with dough.
4. Place onto a parchment lined baking sheet and bake 9-13 minutes or until golden. Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Makes about 16 ginormous balls of wicked good cookies
Recipe from Playing House
As with the recipes, I have a very tall stack of music that I want to share with you soon.
Well, I got this song by Lil Daggers yesterday and it made it right to the top of the stack. I have seriously not stopped listening to it since.
The delicious opening guitars, the swaggering beat, the “Oooh, Oooh, Oooh”s. This song has it all.
I immediately wanted to put on sunglasses, hop into a convertible, jack this song to ’11’ and just drive. Fast.
Lil Daggers-Dead Golden Girls
The Lil Daggers’ album is the last release this year on Song, By Toad Records. Described as “a dark, sulky, scuzzy record, with elements of psych-rock, garage and old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll” I guarantee it will jockey for first place with your beloved copy of “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” on the old record player.
Buy Lil Daggers’ here. Read more about the band on their Website (Wow…not really so sure about that header photo. Might not be the right time to ask if that person wants a cookie) and on Facebook.
Cheers!
