Well, not exactly, but I seem to have had an exorbitant amount of sugar, butter and bacon in the past few days.

I did get two really excellent gifts for Christmas this year.
Nick Cave tix

I may have mentioned that I live in Vermont, so seeing one of my favorite singers in Barcelona is kind of over-the-top dreamy.

And just look at this bracelet…it’s a flask for on the go cheer!

As you can see, I had a fantastic Christmas and now get to savor the delicious anticipation of seeing Nick Cave in a few months.

I hope you are enjoying a fun holiday season. In case you need a quick breakfast/lunch/dinner this absolutely fabulous quiche from Julia Child is a go to recipe. It’s a simple creation that really lets the flavor of the bacon and cheese shine through.

Here’s a Julia Child inspired song by The Bushwick Book Club.

About the club, from their website: “The Bushwick Book Club meets every month and employs the delirious talents of local songwriters who plumb the depths and scrape the ends of a chosen literary gem to create ….a new song. It’s an hour-long orgy of book-related songs and book-inspired food and drink. If that doesn’t sound indulgent enough, I don’t want to know you, you sick, sick bastard.”

Without further ado, onto the music.

“Mastering the art of French cooking
I’m not even gonna to try
Leave the kitchen to the experts
And the cooking to Julia Child

PS. What is up with her voice? ”

Check out The Bushwick Book Club on their Website, where you can learn of upcoming shows in Brooklyn. You can buy the music on Bandcamp.

Cheers!
