I’ve tried all sorts of pizza crusts from store-bought, homemade, Fried Chicken (!), pita, cauliflower (!!!), ciabatta, naan, lavash to English muffin.
I never considered waffles, though. In my mind they are always topped with butter and maple syrup. Who knew they would make such a wonderful pizza crust? The waffle gets nice and crisp while the toppings warm up and the cheese melts.
The perfect light dinner or easy snack in just 5 minutes.
Ingredients:
8 frozen waffles
1 1/2 cups pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Toppings such as pepperoni, peppers, sausage, Italian seasoning, olives and/or mushrooms
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425℉.
2. Place waffles on a baking tray. Spoon pizza sauce over waffles, sprinkle with mozzarella and desired toppings.
3. Bake until waffles are crisp and cheese is melting, about 5 minutes.
Makes 8 pizzas

I am really enjoying this new song from Canadian band Close Talker.
The band’s name makes me chuckle as I will never be able to think of a close talker without thinking of this:
My apologies to the band as they probably hear that all the time from Seinfeld lovers.
Back to the music.
“For The Sun” is from Close Talker’s latest release ‘Flux’ due out next month. It has a dreamy quality that I love and lovely, smooth vocals that I adore. The guitar seems to sing it’s own little part.
Check out Close Talker on Facebook, where you can learn of upcoming North American tour dates. you can link to buy the music over at the band’s Website.
Cheers!
Hi there, great Pizza dish! How about adding it to the Food on Friday: Pizza collection over at Carole’s Chatter? Cheers
