Salted Caramel anything never gets old for me. Here that fabulous combination stars in these yummy brownies.

Take your favorite brownie mix, stir in salted nuts and some caramel then bake and top them with more caramel and a sprinkle of sea salt. So easy and so good.

Directions:

1. Grease an 8 or 9 inch square pan.

2. Prepare brownie mix as instructed on the box. Stir in nuts. Spoon into prepared pan.

Hi T, if I make this with the block caramel from KAF, how would I know how much to use rather than the individually wrapped ones? Thanks!!

    • 1 cup of chopped caramel is equal to about 25 individually wrapped caramels (such as Kraft caramels).

25 Kraft caramels weigh about 5.5 ounces, therefore 1 cup of unwrapped caramel weighs about 5.5 ounces.

If a recipe calls for 14 ounces of unwrapped caramels, you will need about 2 1/2 cups of caramel bits.

I got the above info here.

So, for this recipe which calls for 15 wrapped caramels, I would use just under 1/2 cup or 3.3 oz of the block caramel.

Yum…I need to make these brownies again!
