The Cheese Dip

I came across this recipe while surfing around the internet (what else is new?).

THE Cheese Dip.

What is that all about?

It took less than 30 minutes to find out.

This might not be The Cheese Dip of your dreams, but it is an easy, creamy, cheesy dip with some oniony crunch.

Ingredients:

8 oz cream cheese
2 cups grated cheddar cheese or grated jalapeño jack
1 cup mayonnaise
1 small red onion, diced
Snipped chives, to garnish
Crackers, tortilla chips or veggies, to serve

Directions:

1. Place cream cheese, cheddar, mayo and red onion in a shallow baking dish (such as a 9 inch round pan).

2. Microwave on high for 2 minutes or until the ingredients are melted enough to stir together. Stir until combined.

3. Bake at 350℉ for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Garnish with chives.

Glasgow punk rock trio Dave Hughes And The Renegade Folk Punk Band are releasing their new album, “Doctors and Dates”, tomorrow.

The 7 tracks run the gamut of energetic punk, some lilting folk and a bit of Asbury Park, like you get here on ‘History, Sis”. As albums go, this one is not one bit cheesy.

Check out Dave Hughes And The Renegade Folk Punk Band on the band’s Website, where you can learn of upcoming UK gigs and buy their music.

Cheers!
