What makes this variation of Cookies And Cream Rice Krispie Treats so special is the addition of Double-Stuf Oreos. I made a version here that used mini Oreos and the recipe was delicious. However, the thick cream layer in the Double Stufs is wicked good in the treats. The melted white chocolate that tops the treats is a great touch, too.
Black And White Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter, cubed
8 cups miniature marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
2-1/2 cups chopped Double-Stuf Oreo cookies (about 16), divided
1-1/3 cups white baking chips or white chocolate, melted
Directions:
1. In a Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat. Add marshmallows; cook and stir until melted. Remove from heat.
2. Stir in cereal and 2 cups Oreos. Press into a greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
3. Spread melted baking chips over top; sprinkle with remaining Oreos, pressing gently to adhere. Cool to room temperature. Cut into bars.
Makes 2 dozen treats
