As one who thinks jimmies are the ultimate topping for cool, creamy treats, I was intrigued.
I came across this recipe in a magazine ad for the retail store Target, of all places.
I would never think to serve gelato with olive oil and sea salt, but the savory nature of the pistachio flavor makes it work. I was pleasantly surprised and so glad I gave it a try.
Pistachio Gelato With Extra Virgin Olive Oil And Sea Salt
Ingredients:
Pistachio gelato
Extra virgin olive oil
Sea salt
Directions:
1. Scoop some pistachio gelato into each serving bowl, drizzle with a little olive oil and sprinkle with a dash of flaky sea salt.
