Happy New Year Everyone!
This lovely quote from Drunk Mule sums today up perfectly.
“A New Year brings new hope,
stick some kaleid in yer scope,
pull yer special ones near,
and imagine the others are still here. X”
Start your new year off in a super sweet way with this dreamy Kissing Caramel Cocktail.
There are so many flavors of vodka out there these days. I buy the minis so I can give them a try before committing to the regular sized bottles. (Committing…yep, I take drinking seriously.) :)
Today’s adult beverage contains some of the best vodka flavors, Kissed Caramel and Iced Cake. The Iced Cake tastes just like drinking down some frosted vanilla cake. Kissed Caramel vodka has hints of salt along with the strong caramel flavor.
Put those vodkas together with some espresso (or coffee flavored liqueur) and you have an insanely good sweet sipper. The best part is when a bit of the caramel drizzled whipped cream joins the drink in the journey into your mouth. Yum.
Ingredients:
1 chewy caramel
3 ounces espresso, cooled (I used Kahlúa, because I’m crazy like that)
1 ounce caramel-flavored vodka, Smirnoff® Kissed Caramel ™ Flavored Vodka
1 ounce cake-flavored vodka, Smirnoff® Iced Cake ™ Flavored Vodka
Whipped cream
Caramel ice cream topping
Directions:
1. Thread caramel onto a cocktail pick for garnish.
2. In a cocktail shaker combine espresso and vodka with ice. Shake vigorously for 20 seconds.
3. Strain into a martini glass. Top with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel ice cream topping. Garnish with caramel swizzle stick.
Serves 1 (If you substitute Kahlúa for the espresso, this will easily serve 2 or 3)
