Agave Margarita

Alright, who doesn’t want a margarita on Friday? Or anyday?

Here is a different take on the classic margarita. Agave syrup replaces triple sec to balance out the citrus here. Refreshing and cheerful. Cheers!

Ingredients:

Coarse salt
Ice
1/4 cup tequila (a good silver is my favorite in this recipe)
2 Tbs agave syrup
2 Tbs lime juice
lime wedge, for garnish

Directions:

1. Place some coarse salt in a shallow dish. Moisten rim of cocktail glass with a bit of lime juice then turn glass over onto the salt to coat rim.

2. Combine ice, tequila, agave, and lime juice into a cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into prepared glass.

My Friday Happy Hour is starting with some very loud Sparrow And The Workshop.

I cannot get enough of ‘Shock Shock’. Impossible not to move to the rhythm, yet sometimes paralyzed by Jill O’Sullivan’s captivating voice. This is my kind of kick back music.

Check out Sparrow And The Workshop on the band’s Website, where you can learn upcoming UK tour dates and buy their older music and some homemade rifle shot flower pots (very cool). The new album ‘Murderopolis’ is available at Song, By Toad Records.

Cheers!
