I just made these sliders and I’m already wondering when it will be too soon to make them again.
They are FABULOUS! My family inhaled them.
I love sliders and have shared some recipes like these super yummy ones and these Slow Cooker Sloppy Joe style ones.
But the beauty of today’s slider recipe is that they are baked in one pan. Genius! Talk about making it easy to serve a crowd.
I’m thinking the next time I have a casual gathering I am going to make a few pans of these sliders and the similarly brilliant Baked Tacos. Put out a whole bunch of burger condiments and taco toppers and it’s an easy party.
Ingredients:
Dried, minced onion
2 pounds ground chuck (80% lean/20% fat)
1/2 tsp seasoned salt (I used garlic salt)
6 slices cheddar cheese
24 slider rolls or small dinner rolls
Dill pickle slices
Directions:
1. Evenly sprinkle the onion on the bottom of a 9 × 13 inch baking dish.
2. Gently press the ground beef on top of the onion until it completely covers the bottom of the baking dish. Sprinkle with seasoned salt.
3. Bake in a 400℉ oven for 20 minutes. (The meat will shrink a bit from the sides)
4. Cover beef with cheddar cheese slices and bake for 2 more minutes.
5. Remove from oven, let sit 5 minutes then cut meat into 24 squares.
6. Place each slider in a roll and top with pickle slices.

Here is some new and really interesting folk from Gerygone & Twig, a band out of Alaska.
What initially caught my eye was the unusual band name. Add to that an unusual album title (The Slee-Py) and weird as all get out song titles, and I was sold.
I love this kind of stuff.
Oh, and did I mention the bizarro lyrics? Yep, love that.
One of the interesting song titles is ‘The Hippocampus Is A Cramped Compartment’. Oh but yes, it is!
“Say lady, could you kindly place
About five more tablespoons of sugar in the remaining space
Between the foam and the lid
Of my little itty bitty cup of energizing liquid?
Addicted, why yes, I’d say for sure
All I know is, it’s seven o’ clock again and I’m always running out of time
But I’m burning my tongue just to find some peace of
Mind you, I’ve barely acclimated to the bitterness
But I’m an over-sweetened coffee-sipping repetitive ceaseless mess”
Quirky cuties, these guys are.
The band says that ‘A Nautical Lament’ is their favorite song, because it consists of them doing their favorite things, which are:
Crying
Yelling
Being sexy
Not rhyming
All talking at the same time
Singing in three quarter time
Not waltzing

Cheers!
