Here’s a Danish ad. (You can find the translation here)

And here is a recipe for Danish Kringle. It is in no way authentic, not being pretzel shaped or anything. But, this sweet treat is fabulous and insanely easy to make.

Just fill a ready made refrigerated pie crust with a mixture of pecans, butter and brown sugar. Bake it up and drizzle with glaze and more nuts. Perfect for breakfast or dessert.

  1. Ann Soutter says:

We have had Kringle for Christmas morning ever since I was a little girl. My grandmother in Racine, Wisconsin would send a cherry one, and a pecan one (both which travel well). Now, living just an hour away from Racine, I found out there are MANY flavors of Kringle, and my local Sam’s Club carries them. Gone are my early morning drives, the last Saturday before Christmas, to get fresh Kringle.

  2. That looks delicious! There really is nothing better than pecans, sugar and butter is there?
