Short And Sweet. Lazy Cake Cookie Bars.

Shows you the path that the internet can take you on.

I started out watching a video someone posted on Facebook about cute Kitty costumes. It was okay, but I wondered if there were any other humorous costume videos out there.

Learned what Yip Yips were after some couple (and a couple dozen more in other videos) showed up as them at costume parties.

But then there were Yip Yips with Kermit and then there was Kermit in a BMV.

Kermit always wins.

I pinned this recipe awhile ago onto my Must Make This board on Pinterest.

I should have made the recipe ages ago, but one can only make so many desserts in a week!

This is the quickest pan of cookies you will ever make. The cookie bars are crunchy and packed with chips.

Pour a glass of milk and dig in.

Lazy Cake Cookie Bars

Ingredients:

1 box yellow or white cake mix (I used yellow)
2 eggs beaten
5 Tbs melted butter
2 cups mini chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Mix together all ingredients and put in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.

2. Bake at 350℉ for 20 minutes.

3. Cool in pan then cut into bars.

Perfect timing…Emily bakes for her crew team and we are headed to Chatanoga this weekend. Needed something easy and would travel well. Hope all is well with the family – take care!

    • I hope Emily likes them. They are dense cookies and definitely will travel well. Safe trip!

All well here. Just crossing my fingers that we don’t lose power tonight from this awful wind from Sandy. It is really blowing out there and the worst is meant to come later.

Found recipe on Pinterest and made tonight. Used about 1 1/2 cups regular-sized chocolate chips and baked in a smaller pan. Absolutely delicious and moist! It was easy to make; something I would find myself baking again for sure. Thanks for sharing!
