Short And Sweet. Toy Story Alien Cupcakes.

Toy Story Alien Cupcakes

The Aliens are my favorite characters in Toy Story. No matter how many times I watch, I always laugh at them.

These cupcakes are super easy and so cute. I simplified things from the original recipe by using candy eyes and snipped spearmint candy for the ears. The aliens’ eyes are not as big as in the original, but just using ready made was a few steps easier. Do check out the link below if you want to have the aliens look more like the real deal.

Ingredients:

Cupcakes, baked from your favorite recipe
White icing, store-bought or your favorite recipe
Neon green food coloring (I used this brand)
Candy eyes (I used these)
Green Spearmint Leaves Candy (Like these), each cut in half
Green apple sour straws, cut into 2″ pieces (I couldn’t find these, so I used green Mike and Ikes)
Black decorator gel icing (I used chocolate chips and Junior Mints)

Directions:

1. Stir a few drops of food coloring into icing to tint it neon green.

2. Frost cupcakes and insert a 2″ sour straw antenna. Press spearmint candy ears into the sides of the cupcake.

3. Arrange 3 candy eyes across each cupcake

4. Give the aliens an awed expression by drawing on a circle for a mouth with black gel icing or inserting a chocolate chip or Junior Mint.

Here’s a short Alien song.

And a sweet Alien Love Song, which is also beautifully bizarre.
