Alcoholized – To “alcoholize” means to drink, esp. intemperately. US, 1900s.
Good. Lets alcoholize.
I’m not sure of the origin of the Awry One’s name, but I’m guessing it has to do with the rye whiskey in the ingredients.
If you’re a fan of Manhattans and Negronis, you’ll love this mash-up of the two. A perfect summer aperitif.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz rye whiskey
1/2 oz Campari
1/2 oz lemon juice
1/4 oz simple syrup
2 dashes orange bitters
Sprig of mint, to garnish
Directions:
1. Combine ingredients in an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with mint.

Here’s a photo from Nathan’s Facebook page. Love it.
What I have heard so far, I am really loving. Mellow music to sip a cocktail by.
