So Will Smith and his Producer walk into a Korean restaurant. The waiter takes their order, and the Producer wants 2 orders of a Kimchi dish and stuff. The Producer guy excuses himself to use the bathroom really quick, and comes back to the table. Producer asks Will Smith, “What did you get with your Kimchi?”
Will Smith goes, “gettin’ Chiggae wit’ it”
There. A little Korean humor for you.
My husband took me to a Korean restaurant on our first date. So, every time I have Korean-style food I think of him and that really fun night.
This recipe is based on bulgogi, a grilled beef dish that uses a marinade of soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil and garlic.
The quantities here serve two, but you can (and should) double or triple the ingredients to make more.
Sizzling Korean-Style Beef
300g rump steak, trimmed of all fat
2 tsp sugar
2 Tbs soy sauce
2 Tbs mirin
2 garlic cloves, chopped
4 green onions, sliced lengthways
1 Tbs sesame seeds, toasted
100g basmati rice, steamed, to serve
1. Slice the meat as thinly as possible.
2. Mix the sugar, soy, mirin, garlic and 1 tsp of sesame oil in a bowl. Add the beef and stir well. Season with black pepper.
3. Heat a wok until very hot. Add 2 tsp vegetable oil. Sear the meat for a few minutes and then add the green onion. Stir-fry for another minute then add the sesame seeds. Serve with the steamed basmati rice.

How about some music from Korea?
I have no idea what he is singing, but it sounds really lovely.
