I love banana-based smoothies. So when I saw this recipe that has oats and coconut oil (Hmmm…different) in the ingredient list, I had to give it a try. It was light and refreshing, but kept me fueled for for the whole morning.
Fire up the blender…Oat-Coconut Smoothies are fast for breakfast, as a post-workout treat or anytime you want a quick pick-me-up.
Oat-Coconut Smoothie
Ingredients:
1/2 banana
1/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1/3 cup Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 tablespoon honey
1/3 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1/2 cup ice
Directions:
1. In a blender, combine banana, oats, yogurt, coconut oil, honey, orange juice, and ice. Blend until smooth.
2. Transfer smoothie to a tall glass and drink right away.
Serves 1
