Short And Sweet. Tiramisù Ice Cream Cake.

Tiramisù Ice Cream Cake
Best quote I’ve seen about the Mad Men premiere: ” I can’t tell if it’s the 1960s or a werewolf movie. ”

What has Mad Men got to do with this dreamy, ice creamy dessert?

I love them both.

Tiramisù Ice Cream Cake has all of the flavors of classic Tiramisù layered in this cool and easy treat. Bonus is that you can make the cake well ahead of time.

Tiramisù Ice Cream Cake

Ingredients:

125ml strong black coffee, cooled
60ml Kahlúa (or other coffee liqueur)
60ml Marsala
200g savoiardi (sponge finger biscuits)
1.5 liters vanilla ice cream, softened
150g dark chocolate, grated

Directions:

1. Line a 20cm square baking tin with parchment paper.

2. In a bowl, combine the coffee, Kahlúa and Marsala. Dip the savoiardi into the coffee mix and line the base of the tin. Smooth over half the ice cream to form a layer over the savoiardi and sprinkle over half the chocolate.

3. Repeat with remaining savoiardi, ice cream and finish with remaining chocolate. Freeze for at least four hours or until frozen.

4. Take out of the freezer 30 minutes before serving and leave to soften in the fridge. Cut into squares to serve.
