Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Pie. Put Sugar On Your Sheets With Inspector Tapehead.

Yes, I have.

I also found this incredibly easy and outrageously good Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Pie recipe.

Use purchased chocolate chip cookie dough for the crust, bake and fill with layers of chocolate chip ice cream and tangy syrup.

Make this now and you’ll have something to pull out of the freezer for the next impromptu get together with friends. Or just thrill your family tonight.

Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Pie

Ingredients:

Refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough (about 8 to 10 ounces)
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
1 quart chocolate chip ice cream, softened
Additional chocolate syrup to drizzle over the top of pie

Directions:

1. Let cookie dough stand at room temperature for 5-10 minutes to soften (save remainder for another use). I used cookie dough from a tub container. You can also find tubes of the cookie dough in the refrigerator section of the market.

2. Press dough onto the bottom and up the sides of an ungreased 9-inch deep-dish pie plate. Bake at 350°F for 12-16 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack.

3. In a small bowl, combine sour cream and syrup.

4. Spoon half of the ice cream into crust. Freeze for 1 hour. Drizzle with 1/4 cup syrup mixture. Repeat layers. Finish with a drizzle of chocolate syrup, if you like. Cover and freeze for 8 hours or overnight.

‘Duress Code’ by Inspector Tapehead is one of my go to albums when I need a rush of fun. It is a knee slapping good bunch of songs that are perfect for shaking things up in the kitchen or in the car or on the patio….

I love how messy and mental Sugar On Your Sheets is. Perfectly sweet, especially when ice cream is on the menu.
