Reuben Crescent Bake. Hot New Cover From The Provincial Archive.

That is so me. And I go to the store upwards of 3 times a week for big shops. Ugh. That’s a lot of weight lifting, but of course worth it to cook and bake lots of good things.

Like this Reuben Crescent Bake.

All of the classic flavors of a Reuben sandwich star in this really easy, ready in 30 minutes casserole. Just layer Swiss cheese, corned beef, sauerkraut and Russian dressing in a crescent roll crust and bake. That’s it. Deli heaven.

Reuben Crescent Bake

Ingredients:

2 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 pound sliced Swiss cheese
1-1/4 pounds sliced deli corned beef
1 can (14 ounces) sauerkraut, rinsed and well drained
2/3 cup Russian Dressing or Thousand Island salad dressing
1 egg white, lightly beaten
3 teaspoons caraway seeds

Directions:

1. Unroll one tube of crescent dough into one long rectangle; seal seams and perforations. Press onto the bottom of a greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish.

2. Bake at 375°F for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.

3. Layer half the cheese and all of the corned beef over the baked crust. Combine sauerkraut and salad dressing; spread over beef. Top with remaining cheese.

4. On a lightly floured surface, roll second tube of crescent dough into a 13 x 9-inch rectangle, sealing seams
and perforations. Place over top of casserole. Brush with egg white; sprinkle with caraway seeds.

5. Bake for 15 minutes or until heated through and crust is golden brown. Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting.
