Easy Honey Mustard Rolls

Q: What did the apple say to the orange?

A: Nothing. Apples don’t talk.

I, however, can talk and want to tell you about these fantastic rolls.

They are the easiest things to make and remind me a bit of fresh, hot pretzels. The honey mustard turns into a thick glaze in the oven and slightly caramelizes around the edges of the rolls, which get slightly crispy.

There is something about a plate of fresh rolls on the dinner table that always makes me feel like the meal is that much more festive.

Ingredients:

1 (11-ounce) can refrigerated breadsticks
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon coarse salt

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375℉. Grease a 12-cup muffin pan.

2. Unroll dough, and twist each breadstick 3 times. Coil the twists in prepared muffin cups to form rolls.

3. In a small bowl, combine honey and mustard, stirring well. Brush one-half of honey mixture evenly onto rolls.

4. Bake rolls for 13 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Brush cooked rolls with remaining honey mixture. Sprinkle with salt.

Seattle based band, Rose Windows, refer to their musical genre as “Insufferable Psychedelic Garbage”. I certainly found that intriguing.

I’ve heard a few tracks from the new album. There is definitely a hippie feel, but not garbage at all.

Check out Rose Windows on Facebook. You can buy their music over at Sub Pop Records.

Cheers!
