Short And Sweet. Apple Butterscotch Sundaes.

These quick, yummy sundaes are perfect on those days that you spent too much time cleaning the grill. ;-)

Apple Butterscotch Sundaes

Ingredients:

1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup water
1 Tbs lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
4 large apples; peeled, sliced
3 Tbs butter
1 tsp vanilla
Vanilla ice cream to serve

Directions:

1. In saucepan combine sugar, flour, water, lemon juice and salt. Bring to boil.

2. Add apples and return to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes until apples are tender. Remove from heat. Add butter and vanilla.

3. Serve warm or at room temp over ice cream.

Serves 6
