Chocolate Chip Toffee Bars

I’m in Barnes & Noble this afternoon and what music comes on?

Sweet And Innocent by Donny Osmond.

I moved under the speaker. I stood still. I had to listen to the whole song. I was 7 years old.

“Mum”, says my daughter (who in this moment is now older than I). She taps me. “You don’t even like Mystery novels”.

No, I don’t.

But, man did I love Donny Osmond. There. I said it. I had EVERY album. I kissed the covers.

This ridiculous song is embedded in my brain now. It’s good to be a child again.

Oh, the things I learn about you from this blog. Donny Osmond??? Seriously??? I never knew. It just doesn’t mesh with the Springsteen loving, Doors playing, rock n roll kid I lived with :)
BTW, the dessert looks lucious. Wish I had some right now.
