iSing As iMake iCarly Spaghetti Tacos

If you have a tween or two you have probably heard of the popular Nickelodeon show ‘iCarly’. Spencer, the brother of main character Carly, likes to make spaghetti tacos for dinner. The other day a good friend suggested I give them a try. She had just whipped up some spaghetti tacos for her kids for dinner and they were a big hit. When I told my kids that I was thinking of giving the tacos a try there was loud applause and smiles all around.

Alrighty then. Spaghetti Tacos are on the menu. I went to iCarly.com to get the recipe.

Here it is:
Get taco shells.
Get spaghetti (with meat sauce).
Get a BIG spoon.
Use the BIG spoon to put spaghetti into taco shells.
Eat.
Burp.

In iCarly speak: “This is serious chiz!”

I decided to make a few changes. Here’s my slightly different version.

Spaghetti Tacos

Ingredients:

1 lb spaghetti
1 (26 oz) jar tomato sauce (I used sun dried tomato variety)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
1 cup shredded mozzarella
1/2 cup cheddar
Taco shells

Directions:

1. Cook spaghetti.

2. Heat sauce in a large pot and add cheeses and cooked spaghetti.

3. Use your big spoon and fill taco shells.

4. Don’t burp in front of your mother.

I added some arugula and pickled jalapeños to mine to glam it up a bit. I must say, the Spaghetti Tacos were not bad at all.

We have no choice but to sing the iCarly theme song.

And how about a song from the album ‘Tacos Galore’?

Cheers!
